Position Summary
This is a hands-on, full-time position performing day-to-day duties, including supporting cattle procurement and scheduling by managing regulatory documentation and ensuring compliance with Meyer Natural program standards. This role maintains records, coordinates paperwork between producers and plants, and assists with inventory and audit preparation. It works closely with procurement, scheduling, and compliance teams to improve operational efficiency and support supply chain integrity.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Manage regulatory requirements for cattle harvested at two primary U.S. processing plants.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy records for cattle harvested under the Meyer Natural family of brands.
- Ensure adherence to Meyer Natural program standards by coordinating delivery of required documentation from producers to plant personnel.
- Support the Compliance Officer with regulatory functions, including assistance during off-site audits.
- Communicate with producers to collect required regulatory information for scheduling and compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement and regulatory teams to resolve issues related to animal identification and program affidavits.
- Work with internal and external scheduling teams to meet program needs.
- Assist in managing available cattle inventory.
- Cross-train with procurement team members to ensure consistent support across functions.
- Improve the coordination of paperwork and technical data flow between producers, Meyer Natural, and the processing plants to drive efficiency.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree or higher is required
- 5+ years of administrative experience working in regulatory or scheduling capacity in the agriculture or food industry. Preferred experience in database management
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and Access.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to document, edit, and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a clean driving record, maintain current vehicle insurance, and be able to pass insurability guidelines for drivability.
Compensation - $27 - $32.50/ hour
