We are seeking to hire a Director of Center of the Plate Sales for a hands-on, full-time commercial leadership role driving profitable growth across foodservice beef programs, owning strategy, customer development, and execution end-to-end. What will you do?
New Business Development & Strategic Growth
  • Prospect and develop new business with regional and national foodservice chains and broadline distributors, creating and executing account plans that align with corporate goals.
  • Lead discovery, solution design, and program development—translating customer needs into product/packaging/specification solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing structures, contracts, and program terms; manage RFPs and bid responses in coordination with Pricing and Finance.
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with customer decision-makers, culinary/innovation teams, and distributor leadership.
Sales Strategy, Forecasting
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans, including annual revenue targets, account growth strategies, and commercial calendars.
  • Maintain accurate CRM reporting (pipeline stages, probabilities, close dates, and key account actions).
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence (pricing, specs, customer preferences, and category trends).
Cross-Functional Execution
  • Partner closely with the Production Scheduling and Regional VP, as well as internal team members, to ensure disciplined pricing, margin management, and deal governance.
  • Collaborate with production scheduling, procurement, QA, and logistics to align supply, specs, lead times, and service expectations.
  • Identify new products and selling opportunities that improve carcass utilization; bring forward business cases for new items, trims, formats, or value-added programs.
  • Support problem resolution (service issues, claims, quality/spec questions) while maintaining customer confidence and long-term relationships.
Distributor & Field Enablement
  • Build and execute distributor strategies (authorized items, stocking, incentives, training, and joint call plans).
  • Develop sales tools and value propositions for distributor reps and chain stakeholders; coordinate sampling and menu/culinary support, as applicable.
  • Track and improve program compliance, including contract pricing adherence and item-level performance.
  • Owns target account strategy, pipeline development, and commercialization plans for center-of-plate and ground beef in foodservice.
  • Influences pricing recommendations and program structure in partnership with Pricing/Finance.
  • Leads cross-functional coordination to ensure successful onboarding, launch, and ongoing program performance.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
Do you have this education and experience for this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in foodservice center-of-the-plate sales is required.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of supplier relationship management is required.
Compensation: $150,000 base, Annual discretionary bonus pool potential up to 25%.

Do you possess these specialized Skills that make you a qualified candidate:
  • 5+ years of sales experience with center-of-plate programs and ground beef across QSR, casual dining, or multi-unit operators.
  • Expected to travel atleast 50% of the time.
  • Familiarity with carcass utilization concepts and how commercial strategy impacts trim, yield, and profitability.
  • Experience launching new products, specs, or branded programs (e.g., premium natural/Angus/Wagyu).
  • CRM proficiency and comfort with data-driven selling (CRM, Excel/Sheets, BI dashboards).
